Inspired by the swallows that gather on the garden wire, a familiar sight outside my studio each summer, Where Swallows Gather celebrates the quiet beauty and rhythm of nature.
My family moved to our home in 1974, and for over 50 years the garden has been a constant source of inspiration. The returning swallows, flowers and ever-changing colours of the seasons continue to influence my work, and this porcelain picture captures the memories and sense of place that have shaped my creative practice.
Each artwork is individually handcrafted from porcelain, hand-painted with ceramic underglazes, finished with a transparent glaze and high-fired to 1250°C before being carefully framed in a white wooden frame. Every piece is completely unique.
