Inspired by my garden and the swallows that return each year, Swallows Over the Garden captures the wonderful sense of movement as these familiar summer visitors swoop and glide above the garden.
The porcelain artwork is individually made and decorated by hand in my Dublin studio. Layers of blue, turquoise, soft blush and touches of warm orange create an impression of foliage, pattern and changing light, with deep blue swallows moving across the surface.
The porcelain is glazed and kiln-fired, bringing depth and luminosity to the colours and making every piece completely unique.
Presented in a contemporary white wooden frame, Swallows Over the Garden is an original piece of ceramic wall art that brings a little of the garden and the freedom of swallows in flight into the home.
