This plate is inspired by the swallows who come to nest beside my studio every year and to pay homage to their resilience and journey they take.
Handmade from porcelain clay and then hand painted with underglazes in various blues. Then a final touch of gold lustre (24 karat) is applied to highlight the swallows and the edge of the plate.
This blue and white plate can be hung on the wall and makes a beautiful decorative piece for the home or used can be used as severing plate for food.
This porcelain blue plate would make a lovely gift for a any special occasion.
